Srars Meas

Srars S. Meas, 60, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
She was born on May 15, 1961 to Sann and Sary (Ou) Meas in Kampong-Cham, Cambodia.
Srars was just three years old when she lost both her parents by the persecution from the Kmer Rouge. She and her six siblings were separated and spread to different areas of the world.
At the age of 17 she came to the U.S. and resided in California until 1995 when she moved to Maine.
Her work life consisted of various occupations and included employment at Augat (Tyco) in Sanford, the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, and Marshall's in Sanford.
She was a devoted Buddhist and enjoyed attending Temple.
Srars loved fashion, decorating, shopping, and going to the beach. She had a careful eye for detail and was very neat and clean.
She always had a smile or a joke, liked social media and "selfies". She was a fun and special lady and will be missed.
She is predeceased by a son, Bobby Hem, sisters Channy and Chanvangsyven Meas and a brother Sothy Meas.
Survivors include two sons, Robbie Hem of Sanford and Charlie Meas of California, and siblings Channa Meas, Senkosal Meas, Sophal Meas, and many nieces, nephews and cousins spanning from France to Cambodia to Maine.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. to 2: 00 P.M. with a funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough for their excellent care and support of Srars.
