Portland- Sonya G. Hall, 94, of Stevens Ave. passed away peacefully at the Gosnell Hospice House on Monday, September 28, 2015. Sonya was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada on May 30, 1921 to the late Remy M. and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Cyr. She attended schools there and graduated from Edmundston High School in 1939, continuing her education by attending business school. On February 14, 1975 she married Harry W. Hall in Bridgeport, CT. Sonya worked for an Insurance Company for fifteen years, worked in Los Angeles for five years, and then for American Fabrics in Bridgeport for many years before retiring in 1984. Sonya was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Portland. She was predeceased by her husband Harry W. Hall in 1998; a sister Frances Turgeon, and two brothers Edwin and Andrew Cyr. She is survived by two sisters Norma Martin of Frenchville and Mary Violette of Toronto, Canada; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 8:30 to 9:30am at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland, ME, followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 673 Stevens Ave., Portland, ME. Burial will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00am at Mountain Grove Cemetery-Easton, Easton, Ct.   1. I was very sad to hear of Sonya’s passing. Sonya will be dearly missed. The holidays havent been the same since she moved to Portland several years ago, but i have very fond memories of Sonya and her sweet and kind spirit! Sonya you will be missed, RIP. Until we meet again…
