Shirley Wilmot

Shirley L. Wilmot, 49 years old, of Biddeford, ME, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford following a courageous battle against cancer.Shirley was born on March 6, 1958 in Worcester, MA. She was the daughter of Roscoe Sr. and Arlene Adams Wilmot. She attended schools in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine.Shirley was a member of the Common Connection Club in Biddeford, and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing crafts. Family described her as a very giving and caring woman.Surviving are her parents Arlene and Roscoe Wilmot Sr. of Lebanon, ME; four sisters, Gloria Cote of Sanford, Rosalie Goodwin of Rochester, NH, Beverly Philbrick of Plymouth, ME, Sheila Chester of Groton, CT; two brothers, Roscoe E. Wilmot Jr. of Biddeford, and Gordon Wilmot of Waldwick, NJ. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.A 1:00 PM graveside service for Shirley will be held this coming Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Plymouth, NH. Following the graveside service there will be a time of fellowship to be held at the Rumney Baptist Church.Services for the Wilmot family have been arranged through the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home of Springvale, ME.
