Shirley C. Brunelle

Shirley C. Brunelle, passed away on September 23, 2019, at the age of 87 after losing her battle with Alzheimer's at Southridge Rehabilitation Center in Biddeford, with her daughter and son in law at her side. She was born on June 29, 1932 to the late Stanley and Ruth (Davis) Clough of Dayton. A lifelong resident of Springvale, she attended local schools, worked at several local businesses and enjoyed spending time with her children in their younger years.Shirley had a lively spirit, always having a quick-witted comeback for her grandchildren's antics. She loved to crochet and complete 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles. She crafted ceramic Christmas ornaments, enjoyed dancing, and was even hiking well into her 70's. She treasured her children and especially her role as a grandmother.Survivors include her daughter Maxine and her husband, Arthur, her son Craig Brunelle and his partner Heather, four grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Gagne, Tonya Cline, anad Derrick Brunelle, great grandchildren, Carissa Cline, Gage Gagne and Liam Boulard, her brother Keith and his wife, Sheila, sister in law, Monique Clough, and numerous nieces and nephews.Shirley is predeceased by her parents, sister, Virginia Hetzel, brothers, Everett and Donald Clough, and two grandchildren, Venna and StephanieA graveside service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, October 1st at Riverside Cemetery in Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
