PORTLAND - Sharon Ann Wakefield "The Babe", 57, of Portland, died May 23, 2014 at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born September 21, 1956, in Portland, the daughter of Elizabeth Ann Pratt. She was educated locally and attended Portland schools. She loved her family time, enjoyed her shopping trips and going to the beach. Sharon was predeceased by her parents; two sons, Eric Griffin in 1974 and Raymond Wakefield, III in 1999. Surviving are: her husband Raymond B. Wakefield, Jr. of Portland; two daughters, Jennifer L. Zawacki and her husband Scott of Tualatin, Oregon, Michelle E. Wakefield of Portland; a son, Robert G. Griffin, II and his wife JoAnne M. of Honolulu, HI; three grandchildren, Kayleigh Griffin, Brett Griffin and Tyler Zawacki. A private graveside service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Portland, Maine. Arrangements by Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. I am so sorry to hear of Sharon’s pasting. We spend summers on Peaks Island together and attended Portland High. I always enjoyed her smiles and laugh.
