Scott A. Tarbox

Scott A. Tarbox, 51, of Acton died unexpectedly on December 10, 2016 as a result of a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm.Scott was born in Saugus, Massachusetts on March 2, 1965 to Ralph and Jean (Cacciola) Tarbox, Sr. He grew up in Lynn where he attended local schools, graduating from Lynn Classical in 1983. Following high school he attended North Shore Community College, earning his associate's degree in criminal justice. During his working life Scott held several jobs including working as a jeweler and as a security officer. He owned and operated the Phoenix Rising store in Sanford and then in Biddeford for nearly 10 years and had been most recently employed at the Biddeford Market on Main Street in Biddeford.Over the years Scott had served as a mentor to several people and had a large impact on their lives. He was very active in the Cabot Tradition Pagan and Wiccan faith where he had become a High Priest and had several followers. He held classes where he taught witchcraft, was a clairvoyant and gave psychic readings, operated the Temple of Keys and was Head Master of the Torbuc Academy of Witchcraft. Scott was a very kind man and was always looking to help others whenever possible. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Scott was predeceased by his parents and by his sister, Kathleen Marie Tarbox.Surviving are his domestic partner, Jason Gilpatrick of Acton; his brother, Ralph Tarbox, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Winthrop, Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews, a great niece and a great nephew, cousins, aunts and uncles; his dog Abigail and his cat Voodoo.Services will be held at a date to be announced.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford- Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
