Sandra L. Orr

Sandra Orr, 74, passed peacefully and privately on Friday October 24, 2019 at her home with her husband and family in Springvale, Maine. Sandy was born in Laconia, New Hampshire and moved to Maine in 1977.She had a larger than life personality that will be remembered and regaled fondly by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her-or even luckier-was loved by her. To be loved by Sandy meant that she would always be there if needed for any and all occasions; it meant she would never forget the most important milestones in your life, always sending the perfect card to accompany each one. It meant you were very lucky. When asked to describe Sandy in a few words, her friends said: "to know Sandy was the best thing to happen in my life, she was fun to be around, she was always there, she was simply the best friend you could have."Sandy fiercely loved the Patriots, Dunkin Donuts coffee (extra, extra), Bloody Mary's (with tomato juice only), and patronizing all of the wonderful restaurants up and down the beautiful coast of Maine during the summer while riding in her EXTRA clean white convertible. Important to Sandy were her Christmas trees, tanning in the warm Maine summer sun, her friends, and most of all, her family. As much as she loved all of us-and she sure did, and made sure we knew it-we know we loved her even more. Remembering Sandy / Mom / Meme lovingly and for all eternity are her best friend and husband of nearly 54 years, Bob Orr, daughter Lori and son-in-law Neil Bshara, son Rob and daughter-in-law Ellena Orr, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren- all of whom are living in Maine-her brother, Skip Joyce, many other family members throughout new England, and her countless great friends. Please remember Sandy exactly as she would have wanted you to-loving, caring, full of fun, one of the strongest people that ever walked the earth and most of all, the best wife, mother, and friend that you could ask for. Honoring her wishes, services will be held at the Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Sanford Maine on Monday, November 4th at 10:00 AM. There will be no gathering following the service.
