Sandra Sue Davis

sandra davis
Sandra S. Davis, 78, of Lebanon passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Pinnacle Health and Rehabilitation in North Berwick. She was born on August 10, 1943 to Ralph and Dorothy (Anderson) Riddle in Malden, MA. She grew up in both Malden and Lynn and attended local schools there. She met Lewis Davis when they were children just 7 and 8 years old. Of course being so young there was no dating until they were older. Lewis was enlisted in the Army and when he was on leave they were married when Sandra was 16 and he was 17. Sandra was employed as a sales clerk and cashier at various places, but her livelihood and joy was spent at home being a homemaker, wife, mother and Grammy. She was active in her local Baptist churches including the Pleasant St. Free Baptist Church in Springvale. She was also dedicated to her prayer group Hannah's Sister's which met to pray on Thursday nights. Throughout the years she was an animal lover and you could always find a collection of pets including cats, dogs and birds at her house. The most recent were her beloved cats Meedles and Gizzy. Sandra was known to be a "Jack of all trades". She was an excellent baker and cook. She loved to decorate for the holidays, she enjoyed gardening and being outside, she was always sewing and mending clothes, and she liked to build things including a tree fort and a puppet theatre for the kids. She also liked to collect rocks for her rock wall. She was an excellent grandmother. She took the time to get to know them individually and spend time with each one doing things together. Sandra had a life well lived and those who love her will miss her very much. She is predeceased by her parents, her son Lance Davis, and her brother Robert Riddle. Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years, Lewis Davis, her sons, Robert Davis and his wife Lisa of Danvers, MA, Erik Davis of Farmington, NH and Stephen Spence and his wife Christine of Peabody, MA, her daughter JaciLyn Moreau and her husband Randall of Acton, daughters in law Sharon Davis and Lynne Davis, grandchildren Lance Davis, Nathan Davis, Hannah Davis, Rachel Davis, Courtney Davis, Joshua Davis, Zachary Davis, Leah Davis, Cody Moreau and his wife Heather, Jesse Moreau and his wife Ricki, Mallory Moreau, and Olivia Moreau, great grandchildren Sophia and Archie Moreau and nieces, nephews and cousins. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. with a funeral service at 12:00, followed by a burial at Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale. To leave a message of condolence click on Sandra's Tribute Page.
