Resided in:
Sanford, Maine
Rose Marie Tuttle, 65, of Sanford, fondly known as Rosie by her family and friends, died at her home on Friday, November 18, 2022.
Rosie was born on June 16, 1957, to Bernard and Gertrude Flynn in York, Maine where she grew up and attended local schools. She held several jobs during her life but primarily devoted herself to being a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Rosie was quick witted with an excellent sense of humor and loved to joke around with her family and friends. She never had a lot but what she did have she was always willing to share. She was a straight to the point person and you never had to guess where you stood with her. She was always there to give advice, provide a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen whenever it was needed. She enjoyed playing board games, writing poetry, playing Candy Crush and most of all, spending time with her family. Rosie always put her children first and was there for them in any way that she could be. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Rosie was predeceased by her partner Paul Valley, her parents, and three siblings, Leo Flynn, Donna (Flynn) Morrill, and Jimmy Flynn.
Surviving are four children, Jerry Tuttle, Joe Tuttle, Eva Valley and Will Valley; three grandchildren, Emma Tuttle, Ethan Valley and Stash Martell; two siblings, Cheryl (Flynn) Plouff and her partner Phil, and Brian Flynn and his partner Jim, her late brother Leo's wife Dianna, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Rosie's Life held at the Sanford American Legion Hall on Sunday, January 29th at 1:00 PM.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
