Rosalie G. Creteau, 86, a lifelong resident of Sanford, died March 25 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford after a brief illness.She was born in Lebanon on November 22, 1926, a daughter of Frank and Mollie (Hanson) Gerrish. She attended Sanford schools and was a 1944 graduate of Sanford High School. For many years, she worked on the reunion committee for her class.On June 14, 1947, she married Bob Creteau with whom she enjoyed 52 years of marriage until his death in 1999. Together they established, owned and operated Creteau's Studio for 40 years where she worked as the receptionist and was the studio's multi-award winning photo hand colorist, retiring in 1985. For many years, she and Bob spent winters in St. Petersburg, FL.For many years she provided art lessons especially in oils and acrylics. She was a member of the Sanford-Springvale Art Association and an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Maine Professional Photographers Association.Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Rosalie Lee, her brothers Richard Theriault, Earl Theriault, Larry Theriault and a great granddaughter Kelli Hilliard.Survivors include her son Bob Creteau and his wife Claire of Sanford, daughter Debra Dee Moore of Orlando, FL, daughter Carla Ann Creteau of Ocoee, FL, seven grandchildren, Alicia, Richard, Tami, Corey, Kris, Kerri and Laura, 15 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, Raymond Theriault, Jr. of Millis, MA, Elmer Theriault of Tovey, AL, Hilbert Theriault of Casselberry, FL, David Theriault of Biddeford, and 3 sisters, June Hogue of Davenport, FL, Ruby Richard of Berwick and Betty Ann Lavigne of Sanford.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, where a funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Virginia Gass officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Sanford-Springvale Art Association, P.
