—Ronnie Carlton Bell, 81, of Sanford, Maine, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 8, 2024, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine. Ronnie was born on May 16, 1942, in Jasper, Florida. He grew up in Lakeland, Florida and lived for 33 years in Canton, North Carolina, before moving to Sanford, Maine, where he came to be a missionary helper in the Calvary Baptist Church. Ronnie worked all of his adult life until retirement as an auto body repairer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was also a wonderful friend to everyone he met. He was a dedicated member of Maple Grove Baptist Church when he resided in North Carolina and a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church here in Maine. Surviving are his wife, Tammy Bell; daughter Tracy Reid and husband Van Reid of Asheville, North Carolina; son Todd Bell and wife Amy Bell of Sanford, Maine; six grandchildren, Elisabeth Legendre and husband Michael, Benjamin Bell and wife Laura Bell, Cherith Bell, Micah Waldrop and his wife Rachel, Abigail Bell, and Kaitlyn Waldrop; and three great-grandchildren, Maverick Bell, Everly Legendre, and Asher Bell. He is also survived by one brother, Philip Bell from Lakeland, Florida. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Bell; his father, AG Bell; his mother, Bernice Bell; and his brother, Don Bell. The home-going celebration will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Calvary Baptist Church, 47 High Street, Sanford, Maine. The family will receive friends from 9:00am-10:30am before the funeral. The Reverends Todd Bell and Benjamin Bell will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be given to the Calvary Baptist Church Missions Account and mailed to 47 High Street, Sanford, ME, 04073 or Venmo @cbcsanford, memo- Ronnie Bell.
