Ronald Alan Palmer Sr., 62, passed away in his North Waterboro home of a suspected abdominal aortic aneurysm on March 6, 2008. "Ronnie" was born Sept 6, 1945 in Rochester New Hampshire and was raised in Acton Maine. He attended Sanford High School and served four years in the Navy during the Vietnam War.He married in 1970 and built his home, with family help, in 1973 where he lived with his loving wife, Dolores "Dolly," of 37 years. Ronnie worked at the Biddeford Textile Co. as a Loom Technician for 30 years, then 7 years as a custodian for both SAD 57 Junior High and Middle Schools.He was an avid outdoorsman who built the family camp in Hancock County Maine in 1987. He shared his love of hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, riding ATV's and enjoying campfires with family and friends.Ronald was predeceased by his parents Robert and Evelyn Palmer of Acton Maine, and brothers Roger, Rodney "Wayne," and Richard Palmer. He is survived by his wife Dolores, his three sons Wayne and his wife Stacey of Lewiston, Scott of Shapleigh, and Ronald Jr. of N. Waterboro, and a five month old grandson Dean of Lewiston. Also survived by his sister Roberta Williams of Sanford, and many nieces and nephews.Ronnie enjoyed the little things in life; his son Ron's music, his new grandson, cooking, especially pancakes and French-toast for his boys. Most of all, Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his wife. Described by others as easygoing, fun loving and down to earth. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
