Ronald J. Gagnon
Ronald J Gagnon, 71, of Biddeford, left this earth in peaceful sleep and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 22, 2020. He was born on August 20, 1948 in Presque Isle Maine, the son of Arsene R. and Josephine Willett Gagnon. He attended Presque Isle schools, quitting half way through to join the Marine Corp.Ron had a thirst for knowledge, always wanting to learn new things. He received an honorary High School diploma after achieving 4.0 average in his first semester at Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, then receiving a diploma in Automotives. He went on to earn North American Association of Automotive Service and Excellence as a master mechanic. He received an Associate's degree in Theology from Bethany Bible College and Theological Seminary, in Dothan Alabama, a certificate of training in youth ministry from Word of Life, a bachelor's degree in Business Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Maine in Presque Isle.On September 7, 1974 he married Jennifer Walton, and they had 46 years of love, laughter, and adventure, as well as being best friends, preferring always being together with family. They centered their marriage around their Lord Jesus Christ, and that's what made it such a strong marriage. He was very active all his life, preferring to work outside. He spent 15 years doing residential construction with his sons in the framing business. He loved studying his Bible, baseball, hunting, fishing, and camping; but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.He was predeceased by his parents, father in law Clayton Allen, sister Debi Sowers, brother Walt Gagnon, brothers in law David Sowers, Joseph Chamberlain, Jonathan Walton, Darren Walton, and several nieces and nephews. Ron is survived by his wife Jennifer, his children Matthew, and fiance Kaleena of Lebanon, Christopher, and wife Maranda of Lebanon, Elizabeth Corcoran, and husband Robert of Shapleigh, Timothy of Presque Isle, Michelle of Hernandez Mississippi, his grandchildren Josiah, Matthew Jr, Hayley, Abbegail, Jeremiah, Zachary, Jameson, Robert IV, Kinzi, Emma, Nathan and Cory. Also surviving are sisters Jeanette Hafford, Caroline and Larry Ford, Gloria Chamberlain, Brenda and Cary Cantonwine, Joyce Taylor, Sheila and James Parrish, brothers Bob and Bonnie Gagnon, Tom and Janet Gagnon, his mother in law Irma Allen, in law siblings, Debbie and Butch Beaulieu, Bonnie and Sam Martin, Jeff and Linda Walton, Jane Walton, Tracy Kinney and many nieces and nephews being too numerous to name but everyone loved. He is also survived by Walter Burlocke and family, who he loved as an older brother. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
