Ronald DesRoberts

Ronald L. DesRoberts, 55, of Sanford, died at his home on Sunday, June 16, 2013.Ronald was born in Sanford on February 28, 1958 to Leo and Sarah (Desrochers) DesRoberts. He grew up in Sanford where he attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 1976.Ronald held several jobs during his working life. He was employed for a time as a Volvo technician at Ray's Motor Sports in Sanford and then as a route driver for Lyons Coffee Service in Wells. Ronald was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and lived to go out riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed playing pool, riding ATV's and was an avid NASCAR fan. He had been a member of the Elks lodge in Sanford for the past 26 years. Ronald had many friends and liked to be around other people. He will be remembered as an outgoing and fun loving man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Surviving are his wife, Monique DesRoberts of Sanford; his parents, Leo and Sarah DesRoberts; two step-children, Jessica Gallant and her husband Josh of Waterboro and Bobby Theriault Jr. of Lyman; two daughters, Julie Pomerleau and her husband Matt of North Berwick and Cindy Smith and her husband Arlan of Lyman; eight grandchildren, Brennan, Eli, Charlie, Finley, Gavin, Nolan, Cooper and Chloe; his sister, Elaine Mee of Acton and two nieces, Laurie and Tammy.At Ronald's request there will be no formal funeral services.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Maine Children's Cancer Program, 100 Campus Drive, Suite 107, Scarborough, Maine 04074.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
