Roland A. Michaud

Mr. Michaud was born on August 26, 1926 in Lebanon, ME. He was the son of the late Arthur and Maria Lozier Michaud. He attended Biddeford schools, and proudly served his country in the United States Army.For several years Mr. Michaud worked at the local Sanford shoe shops, and later worked for the Sanford Water Department.Mr. Michaud was an active communicant of Notre Dame Church in Springvale, the Springvale Knights of Columbus, where he served as Past Grand Knight, and the Sanford Elks Lodge where her once held the position of Tiler.Surviving Mr. Michaud is his wife Gilberte Nadeau Michaud of Springvale; a daughter, Carolyn and her husband Kenneth McCafferey of New Jersey; two sons, Larry Michaud and his wife Carmen of California, Paul Michaud and his wife Maureen of Kennebunk; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and two step great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Frances Mathieu of Alfred, Helena George of Moultonboro, NH, Anita Black of North Carolina, and Cecile Portrie of Shapleigh, and a brother Robert Michaud of Gray, ME.A 10:00 AM Memorial Mass for Mr. Michaud will be held this Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Notre Dame Church in Springvale, ME.Arrangements completed by the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, Sanford, ME.
