Roland O. LeBrun, 95, a longtime resident of Sanford, Maine died peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2020. He has now entered into eternal peace. Roland was born on November 5, 1924 in Sanford, Maine the son of Arthur and Lucina LeBrun.He enlisted in the Army during World War II. After his time served in the Army, he lived in San Francisco and New York City and was a salesman traveling for work. When he returned to Sanford, he worked at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard in Kittery, ME. Roland was a devout Catholic who was a communicant of Holy Family Parish in Sanford. He joined the church choir where he met the organist, who became his future wife. He married Jeannine Binette on September 15, 1956. He spent more than three decades working at LeBrun's Menswear with two of his brothers. Roland was the choir director at Holy Family Parish. He was well known for his beautiful signing voice and was often requested to sing at services and weddings. He was an avid walker until just a few years ago. He could be seen walking for miles and miles in the city of Sanford/Springvale which he loved. He was loved by many and will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who was faithful to God and his family. He will be dearly missed. Roland was predeceased by two brothers, Gerard LeBrun and Michael LeBrun; three sisters, Lucille Edwards, Gertrude Carignan, and Marguerite LeBrun.Roland is survived by his wife, Jeannine LeBrun; four children; Mark A. LeBrun and his wife Nancy of Alfred; Alan D. LeBrun of Sanford; Lisa R. Gorman and her husband Scott of North Berwick; Judith A. LeBrun, of Portsmouth, N.H.; grandchildren David LeBrun, Jason LeBrun, Thomas LeBrun, Jeffrey LeBrun, Scott Gorman Jr, Brenna Gorman, Lindsay Gorman, Audrey Gorman, and Matthew Gorman; many great grandchildren, and two brothers; Conrad LeBrun of Somersworth, N.
