Sorry for your loss. I knew Berta when she lived at 425 Broadway; we played cards together. I especially enjoyed her sense of humor. I’m glad I got to know her.

Dear Anne, Peter and Elaine, Thank you for all your love and attention to Berta these last few years. I am sorry not to be there with you all at this time. Aunt Berta was a good friend to me and an engaging person-fun to be with. I appreciate all the stories she shared about growing up with my father Joe in South Portland and Portland, Maine. Berta and Dick came to visit Rob and I in Oklahoma City after my father died. They brought Jimmy and it was so nice to get to know him asa young adult. It was 1981 or 1982. I hope I let them know how wonderful it was to have a visit from such caring relatives. I know you all have great memories and I hope that you can find comfort in them. I am certain that Berta is reunited with her parents and siblings. Love, Kathy

I will always be grateful to your mother and father for allowing me to make a copy of your grandmother Helen Feeney Mayhew’s North School class of 1915 – 1916. My father was a member of that class. Your father brought the picture in to IBM to show me two weeks before his 80th birthday. I was able to have it copied and present it to him on his birthday. Every time I look at this picture, I am eternally grateful to your parents. They were both fine people. My deepest sympathies to the entire Thuotte family. Stephanie Dambrie
