Robert (Bob) Haven Stocker, 77, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Lee Memorial Hospital in North Fort Myers, Florida. Bob was born June 9, 1946, in Sanford, Maine, the son of the late Chesley E. Stocker and Virginia L. (Mooers) Stocker. He is survived by his wife, Pauline I. Landry-Stocker; a sister, Ann Lunny; a brother, Warren Stocker; a daughter, Laurie L. (Stocker) Provost; a son, Robert C. Stocker; stepdaughter Lynda (Landry) Lawrence; stepdaughter, Leona (Landry) Cahill; stepson, Reo J. Landry, Jr., and grandchildren. Bob grew up in Shapleigh, Maine graduating from Sanford High School and from Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute with an Associate’s Degree. He was with the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War, ranked as SSGT E-5, as an aircraft repair machinist for 4 years until 1970. He spent 17 years working at Sylvania Lighting as a Lighting Product Machinist and 21 years at General Electric where he retired as a Meters and Aircraft Engine Tool and Die. Bob loved to spend his time on the water sail boating, fishing, and boating. He was with the Coast Guard Auxiliary out of Saco, Maine for 5 years. Bob was a follower of Christ at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Portland. He volunteered his time with the church and with the SDA Path Finders. He spent his retirement between homes in Maine and North Fort Myers, Florida. He looked forward to spring in Maine gardening and enjoying Shapleigh Lake. He will be missed dearly by his family. Visiting time will begin at 11:00am at the Carll-Heald and Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St, Springvale, ME on Thursday May 23, 2024, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery

  2. Bob was a very kind person and always willing to help others. He was warm and always had a smile and remembered to ask how you were doing. He was a loving husband and father, and an amazing gardener. He is very missed.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I wondered why I no longer saw his comments on FB. My deepest condolences to his family. May God grant you peace and comfort during this sad time. He will be greatly missed.

  5. Have known Bobby Stocker since I can remember as our families were friends. My wife Debbie and I have visited with Bobby and his wife for the past several years when we would come up and stay on one of the lakes in the Shapleigh area. I will surely miss my friend since childhood. R.I.P. my friend. 🙏❤️🇺🇸!!!
