SHAPLEIGH—Robert W. Harding, Jr. of Shapleigh, died Thursday June 15 at his home. He was born in Concord, Massachusetts July 22, 1958 the son of Robert W. Sr. and Dorothy (Day) Harding. “Bob was the owner and head mechanic of R.W. Harding Repair, one of the only truly honest auto repair shops around. He was a deeply kind and generous man who always attempted to help those who needed it. He was a lover of antique vehicles and finding the hidden gem at yard sales. Bob was a fantastic cook, an excellent mechanic, and an even better father. Bob will be missed by both his loving family and many great friends.” Bob is survived by his children Zachariah Harding of Mesa, Arizona and Emma Harding of Shapleigh.

  3. I have not seen Bob in many years but he was part of my years growing up. Sad to see that he passed. He was so nice and such a great smile. I had such a crush on him in first grade and he knew it.

  5. I met Robert when I was 14 and he was one of my best friends until I was 20 or so. He helped me rebuild my 1970 Cutlass in my parents garage and change it from an automatic to a standard transmission, just because we were buddies. I will always have him in my thoughts. Also love his sister Patty, they were the best people!
