Robert C. Doiron

Robert C. Doiron, 80, a long time resident of Lebanon, died on Saturday, March 10th at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Robert was born in Springvale on September 8, 1931 to Jacob and Elizabeth (Gould) Doiron. He grew up in the Sanford/Springvale area where he attended local schools. He served in the U.S. Army for over 12 years, obtaining the rank of master sergeant. HE was employed for many years as a vehicle operator at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.Robert was a life member of the AMVETS in Sanford where he was an active member. He enjoyed working on various projects and was very good with his hands. He also enjoyed going out for seafood, going to the beach and sitting out in the sun. Robert was an outgoing person with a good sense of humor and had many friends.Surviving are his wife, Margaret Doiron of Lebanon, two step-children, Paula Landeck of Manchester, New Hampshire and Paul Dustin of Medford, New York and a sister, Louise Lantange of Maine.Interment will be at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale. A memorial service will be held at a later date.Arrangements are under the direction of Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home in Springvale.
