Robert Cornock, 63, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Born on December 8, 1961, in Hartford, Connecticut, Robert was the son of Frederick and Teresa (Belanger) Cornock. He grew up in Enfield, Connecticut, where he attended local schools and graduated from Enfield High School. Shortly after graduation, Robert moved to Rochester, New Hampshire, embarking on a fulfilling 39-year career with Pratt & Whitney, from which he retired in 2020. In 2021, Robert married the love of his life, Sanin Saing, and together they built a warm and loving home in Sanford. Robert was a quiet, kind-hearted man who cherished the simple joys of life. He had a profound love for the outdoors, finding happiness in ice fishing, mountain biking, skiing, and golfing. His passion for nature was only matched by the pride he took in maintaining his pristine home and lawn. Family was the cornerstone of Robert’s life. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones and maintained close bonds with his circle of friends. His gentle spirit, unwavering dedication, and heartfelt presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Nancy Kramer. Surviving are his devoted wife, Sanin Saing of Sanford; his son, Robert Cornock, Jr. of York; his step-children, Brandon Kong of Sanford, Rositta Kong of South Portland, and Alex Kong of Sanford; two grandchildren, Zoey and Athena; his siblings, Patricia MacDonald and her husband George of Enfield, Connecticut, Betty Jane Merza and her husband Robert of East Hartford, Connecticut, and Frederick Cornock of Florida; his stepfather, Hugh Jones as well as several aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with a service to follow at 4:00 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, located at 580 Main Street in Springvale. Interment will take place in the spring at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale. Robert’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Uncle Robert was a Great Person. Funny and outgoing. I remember as a child my mom and Dad would take us to Hampton Beach for vacation, Uncle Robert would come he would listen to Beach Boys looking for the ladies . Lol
Rest easy Bob. I will forever cherish our time camping together.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bob. He was a truly wonderful person who touched the lives of many. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him. Rest in peace, Bob!
So sad to hear about Bob’s passing. I worked with Bob for over 30 years. Bob was a good coworker and mentor. Many good times we had at work. I will remember the time we spent working together. May God bless Bob and his entire family.
