Robert Camire

Robert Camire, 76, of Sanford, died December 24 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford.He was born in Sanford on July 13, 1936, the son of Emile and Irene (Armstrong) Camire, attended local schools and was a 1955 graduate of Sanford High School, after which Bob attended the Georgia Military Academy.Bob was a career Staff Sergeant with the US Air Force serving from 1957 to 1977. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for a time at Spencer Press and at Brooks Woolen .He was a communicant of Holy Family Church.Bob was known for his irreverent sense of humor and his infectious laugh. He is loved and will be missed by his family.Survivors include his twin brother Richard Camire and his wife Theresa of Sanford, niece Carol Lantagne and her husband Paul of Sanford, niece Diane Dubois and her husband Richard of Waterboro, niece Barbara Guillemette and her husband Roberto of Springvale, and several grand nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Avenue, Sanford. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
