Robert L. Byrnes Sr.

Portland - Robert "Bobby" L. Byrnes Sr., 68, died on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
Robert was born on March 19, 1949, in Portland to the late Herber L. Byrnes and Essie M. Elsmore. He attended local Portland schools. Robert worked at Hermons shoe factory and 3Gs Tire, formally Dyers tire until he retired.
He was predeceased by his wife and loving companion Donna (Haskell) Byrnes; sisters, Donna Rose Byrnes, Virtue (Babe) Brassley; brothers, Norman F. (Sony) Byrnes and Donald R. (Donny) Byrnes.
Robert is survived by his four children, Robert L. Byrnes Jr. and his wife Tonya of Gray, ME, Richard Byrnes of South Portland, ME, Ronald Byrnes of South Portland, ME, Deanna (Byrnes) Angel of Biddeford, ME; siblings, Darrell J. Byrnes of Westbook, ME, James H. (Jimmy)Byrnes of Windham, ME, Thomas B. (Tommy) Byrnes of Steep Falls, ME, Patricia (Patty) (Byrnes) Gee of South Portland, ME; grandchildren, Nichole (Byrnes)Mowatt of Buxton, Robert Byrnes III, Joshua (Josh) Byrnes, Heaven Angel, Richard Byrnes Jr., Alexas Byrnes; several great grandchildren; and his beloved cat, Princess.
Robert touched many lives and he will be deeply missed. Bobby's favorite saying... "Howdoya like me now"
The family of Robert would like to thank Mercy Hospital for the care and compassion they gave to him while he was under their care.
A graveside service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 13, at the Highland Memorial Cemetery, South Portland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland.
