Rita L. Smith

Rita L. Smith, 77, of Lebanon, died on Monday, February 4, 2013 at York Hospital in York, Maine.Rita was born in Dover, New Hampshire on February 9, 1935 to Alfred and Olivine (Dalpee) Plourde. She grew up in Barington, New Hampshire where she attended local schools. In 1959 she married David A. Smith. Together they raised two children and shared 48 years of marriage until his death in 2008. Rita had been a resident of Lebanon for many years.Surviving are two children, Margaret Boston of Rochester and Ronald Smith of Lebanon.Private interment will be held at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
