I was very sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. She was my 4th and 5th grade teacher at Holy Cross as well as the Director of the Children’s Choir that I participated in for 5 years. Rita always held a special place in my heart and l was fortunate to have run into her a few years ago and to also speak with her on the phone last year. Rest in Peace. Margaret (Turner) Parenteau

Sad day to lose a great teacher–a strict–no-nonsense teacher–but due to the no-nonsense of the classes she taught–we her students (myself for 6th grade)–can no doubt admit that A LOT was learned by her teachings. many many students over the years learned so much from her,,no tolerance of goofing off forces one to listen, resulting in real education–the world has lost a fine educator–May GOD hold her soul in his warm and peaceful embrace and may she rejoice in heaven forever–love, Kendra *(Benson) Pleasant
