Rita G. L' Heureux

Rita G. L'Heureux, 84, of Sanford, passed away on Friday October 9, 2009 at the Newton Center in Sanford. Born in Sanford on March 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Corinne (Beaudoin) Roy. She attended Holy Family School and was a lifelong communicant of St. Ignatius Parish. In 1979 she retired from Sprague Electric after 11 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.She is predeceased by her first husband, Maynard B. Gooch, three brothers, Rudy Roy, Norman Roy and Donald Roy, one sister, Gilberte Allain.She is survived by her husband, Real J. L'Heureux of Sanford, one son, Bruce M. Gooch of Hermon, one daughter, Pamela C. Capelle of Sanford, stepchildren, Adele Carroll of Limerick, Denise L'Heureux of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Michelle L'Heureux of Sanford and George L'Heureux of Scotch Plains, NJ. Survivors also include four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister, Rejeanne Robichaud of Sanford. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish-St. Ignatius Church in Sanford.
