Richard J. Valliere

Richard John Valliere (Dixie) born April 15, 1942 in Exeter NH passed away after a long illness at the Gosnell House on December 3rd. He grew up in Sanford Maine attending St. Ignatius high school where he was well known for his athletic talent.He joined the Navy in 1960 and served as an Aviation Electronics technician for 6 years. Returning from the military he moved to Somersworth NH where he worked at GE for many years retiring to enjoy golf.Richard also enjoyed fishing, target shooting and fantasy sports.After a debilitating health condition he moved to the Sanford, Springvale area to be near his sister. He loved his family and was very proud of his nephew, niece and their family.Richard was predeceased by his father Raymind Valliere, mother Florence Lafrance Valliere, many aunts uncles and cousins.He is survived by his sister Connie Perron and husband Paul of Sanford; brother Roger Valliere and wife Lois of Myrtle Beach SC; nephew Sean Perron and wife Marie, children Elijah and Aubrey; niece Lisa Perron and daughter Ashlynn; long time close friend Pauline Morgan and many cousins.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 13th at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford. A Luncheon will follow at the St. Ignatius Parish Hall.
