Richard R. Riessle

Richard R. Riessle, 68, of Sanford, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.Richard was born in Concord, Massachusetts on July 29, 1950 to Roland and Marjorie (Atwood) Riessle. He grew up in Bedford, Massachusetts where he attended local schools, graduating from Bedford High School in 1968. He had been employed for many years in the printing industry before moving to Maine.Richard had been an active member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Wolves Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors. He was a loving man who was devoted to his family and will be dearly missed.Surviving are his mother, Marjorie Riessle of Sanford; his son, Richard Riessle of Chicago; two siblings, Nancy Landry of Sanford and James Fredrick Riessle of Marlboro, Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 12:45 PM on Wednesday, May 15th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.
