Richard O. Neubert

SANFORD Richard O. Neubert 78 a 70 year resident of Quakertown, PA, died early Tuesday Feb. 20, at H. D. Goodall Hospital, Sanford following a lingering illness. He was born in Quakertown, PA October 5, 1928 a son of Oliver & Rebecca (Hoffert) Neubert. Mr. Neubert was educated in Quakertown and was a graduate of its high school in 1946. He played football at the Junior & High school. He later played a little semi-pro ball.Richard was employed at the the postal service as a letter carrier for 28 years. He also served in the Marine Corps with service in Korea.He was a 32 years volunteer of the Quakertown Fire Dept. He enjoyed hunting & fishing.He has been residing in Sanford since 1998.Survivors are his wife of more than 57 Shirley (Yoder) Neubert of Sanford, two sons, Richard A. Nuebert and his significant other Karen Alcott, Eric and his wife Nancy of Lebanon, along with four grandchildren, Sarah, Kathleen, Adam & Mitchell and great granddaughter Kayla. A service will be conducted at the convience of the family.
