Richard R. Desforges

Richard R. Desforges, 51, a resident of Sanford, ME, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at his residence. Born in Lowell on April 25, 1960, he was a son of the late Arthur O. and Rita G. (Lafortune) Desforges. Richard was raised in Lowell and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Technical High School. He worked in the electronics field as a repairman. While residing in Sanford, he enjoyed volunteering for the Sanford Mainers, a collegiate baseball team. Richard is survived by two sons, Richard T. Desforges and his wife Jamie of Nashua, NH and Robert D. Desforges of NH; a sister, Gloria L. Proulx and her husband Michael of West Newfield, ME; a brother, Clement L. Desforges and his wife Brenda L. (Thibeault) of Waterboro, ME; 3 grandchildren, 4 nieces, 2 grandnieces, 1 grandnephew, 3 aunts and 1 uncle.Visitation is Monday from 4 to 8 PM at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell, MA, where a funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements.
