Richard B. Bennett

Richard B. Bennett, 75, of Springvale, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.Richard was born on June 18, 1941 to Frank and Ida Bennett in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools. He was employed for many years at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford and then as the manager of the Mousam Valley Motel in Springvale.Richard was a motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed boating, watching auto racing, watching the boats down at Mousam Lake and at the beach in Wells and he loved going for rides in his truck. He was an outgoing and fun loving man with many friends. Richard had a wonderful sense of humor and was always a pleasure to be around. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Surviving are his daughter, Becky May Bennett of Biddeford; four grandchildren, Dante Bennett of Biddeford, Christian Thomas Cunningham of Windham, Shy-Ann May Dunn of Plaistow, New Hampshire, Sasha-Lynn Dunn of Plaistow, New Hampshire and four great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April, 17th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
