Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Father Tracy was truly a people’s priest. He was Kind to all, rich or poor, and he spoke to everyone. He loved everyone and I truly enjoyed my conversations with him. He will be missed but I know he is looking down from heaven and smiling.

  2. Father Phil was the first to welcome me to Breakwater. He seldom missed an opportunity to stop and chat. His presence at any gathering was always a plus. No one worked harder than he to make life better for others. It was my good fortune to have known him. Condolences to his family.

  3. I met Fr. Tracy s a college student at Bates 50 years ago. His kindness and example of love for all has had a lasting impact on my life journey. He did more than say Mass on campus. He taught sign language and Greek dancing and he was a great cook with hospitality overflowing around his table. He was a lot like Jesus. ❤️

  4. Father Tracy came to St Michael’s Church in South Berwick a month before our wedding. We did not have long to get to know him, but he helped make our wedding, beautiful and meaningful. Father Tracy baptized all three of our sons. At my last son’s baptism he mentioned in his homely it had been a long time since he married a couple and then had the privilege to baptize their children. Father Tracy will always have a place in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

  5. I met Fr. Tracy back at Bates College in 1973, when I was a raw freshman. I credit him with giving me reasons to stay Catholic, and helping me to be a disciple of Jesus. He was the only priest who ever invited me to have my feet washed at Holy Thursday Mass, which showed me real love and humility. Over the last ten years or so, we wrote back and forth, as he shared more of his Irish heritage and I shared my Italian roots. I truly grew to care for him, and he gave me his wisdom, in kind, gentle ways. I will always treasure his friendship and example. Rest now in the Lord, Fr. Phil, and may Mother Mary comfort those you touched.
    Peace and prayers,
    Pat M. 😊 😂

  6. The Radomski family send it thoughts and prayers to our good neighbors of walnut street on the loss of a special member of our church community and home community

  7. We met Fr Tracy first as Sacred Heart St Dominic’s parish where he was often a celebrant. We also met him sitting on the Tracy bench @ Bug Light where he would sit on the bench he had dedicated to hi parents. He told us he would ‘sit there to pray & talk to his mother ‘as often as his schedule allowed.’ The Tracy bench is one of the first few benches from the parking lot… We will miss him..

  8. Christine & Family

Thank you for celebrating Mass at St. Catherine’s residence daily.
It was so nice to see you attend the Hljy Week services.
You were so glad to be able to do so.
Your love for God was so evident in your celebration of the Mass.
    God love and bless you!

  10. God bless Father Tracy. He was so kind. I always appreciated seeing him when he would visit at the Pastoral Center of the Cathedral. Thank God for his life and service to the people of Maine.

  11. We enjoyed the times Fr.Phil came to visit in our home! We always enjoyed hearing your stories!
We have lost a beautiful priest and the sound of the Mass in his voice.

  12. Fr. Phil was my Newman Chaplain at Bates College (1974 – 1977).
He later officiated at Kathy and my wedding in 1983 (Phil also officiated at the wedding of my sister and her husband).
I live in Chicago now but had planned to visit Fr Phil again in Maine this October.
    He will be greatly missed.
    Ken Kulas
