Reinette J. Martin, 79, of Sanford passed away at home on Friday, November 18, 2022.
She was born on March 6, 1943, to Rene and Lorraine (Boudreau) Poisson in Saco. In 1961 she married Donald Martin, and they raised two children. The couple resided in Biddeford and then Waterboro until recently moving to the Sanford-Springvale area.
Reinette was employed at Biddeford Textiles for 32 years.
She was a communicant of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Limerick for many years until her health kept her from attending.
She loved to do all kinds of crafts, even very recently. Her family cherishes the beautiful Afghans she has knitted for them.
Even while Reinette had significant health issues, she always kept her sense of humor. She was loved by all that knew her, and she made a lasting impression.
She is predeceased by her parents and her husband of 59 years, Donald Martin (2020).
Survivors include her children Michael Martin and his wife Vicki of Sanford, his Daughter Sherry Lanoie of Louisville, KY, grandchildren Tamara and Zackary Lanoie and Brandon and Tyler Martin and one great granddaughter Madison Martin; her siblings, Priscilla Heffernan and her husband Bill, Claire Moreau and her husband Joseph, Gerry Poisson and his partner Karen Wynn and Ann Marie Katon and her husband Dave.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. with an hour of visitation prior at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.
