Regina Godin

July 13, 2007
Regina Theriault Godin, 93, a resident of Lebanon, Maine for 18 years, died Friday, July 13, 2007. As was her wish, Regina died peacefully at home surrounded by her children after a long battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and dementia. She was born February 5, 1914 in Fort Kent, Maine to the late Arsene and Melvina (Corriveau) Theriault. Her husband, Gilbert Henry Godin, predeceased her in 1967. Together they had a very large family, which included 19 children that Regina always found time to care for. In addition to being a full time homemaker, she was a hardworking woman who made sure her children got what they needed, whether that meant working alongside them for many years in the potato fields or working in a sewing factory. Regina always did whatever she could to make ends meat and support her family. Her children were her pride and joy and she selflessly gave everything for them; she never stopped giving until the good Lord decided to bring her home to Him.
