
Portland – Raymond (Ray) Stagg, 79, passed away on December 10, 2025.
Among his many interests and talents, Ray was an avid reader, problem solver, woodworker and boating enthusiast. He worked for over 30 years as a Systems Engineer at IBM where he was known for his dedication and professionalism. He enjoyed many happy years of retirement pursuing his hobbies, travels and summers at their cottage in coastal Maine.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (McDevitt) Stagg; son Andy Stagg; and sisters, Lynnda LeBoeuf and Bonnie Stagg.
Ray’s family would like to thank the staff at the Cedar’s Lunder Household for providing a warm, caring and compassionate home for the last eighteen months. The family wishes to express great appreciation to Beacon Hospice of South Portland for exceptional palliative care and guidance.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the new Conroy-Tully Walker Cremation, Funeral & Gathering Center, 300 Allen Avenue, Portland.
