Raymond M. Wilmot, 64, of Sanford, died Saturday, May 4, 2003 at his residence. He was born September 6, 1938, in Vershire, VT, a son of Earl and Florence Covill Wilmot.He attended schools in Lyme and Plymouth, NH and had lived in Sanford for the past 18 years. Mr. Wilmot served in the Army and was stationed in Korea.He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Wilmot of Sanford; two sons, Brian Wilmot and Bruce Wilmot, both of Sanford; two brothers, Roscoe Wilmot of Lebanon, ME and Gene Wilmot of Meredith, NH; three sisters, Betty Converse of Ashland, NH, Nancy Granger of Moultonboro, NH and Gail Chartier of Atlanta, GA; one grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Bertha Wilmot of W. Alton, NH.Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 9-10 AM at Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine, followed by a graveside service on Friday, May 9, 2003 at 2 PM at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Plymouth, NH.
He was my grandfather that I was very close to until I was taken into foster care at 7 years old.. after that he passed away shorty after & I was never able to say goodbye & or really know my biological family…
