SCARBOROUGH, ME — The family of Raoul A. St. Germain, 94, formerly of Amesbury, sadly announces that he passed away on July, 23 in Scarborough, ME. Raoul was the husband of the late Lorraine (Proulx) St. Germain and the son of Anatole and Exilda St. Germain. He graduated from Amesbury High School in 1945 and served in the United States Navy as a radio man on the destroyer Herbert J. Thomas. Raoul graduated from Lowell University and retired as a civil engineer for the State of Massachusetts. He will be missed by his children, Paula Goodson and her husband Dennis, Quitman, TX and David St. Germain and his wife, Karen, Scarborough, ME; his five grandchildren, William St. Germain, Phoenix, AZ, Jessica Brown and her husband Mike, Milton, GA, Erin Benson, Phoenix, AZ, Kristin Earls and her husband Donal, Leixlip, Ireland, Renee Fallon and her husband, Andrew, Cape Elizabeth, ME and his eight great grandchildren, Taylor Moran, Rebecca Brown, Rylie Brown, Emma Earls, Hailey Fallon, Ben Fallon and Conor Earls and William Webster. His many friends at Sable Lodge in South Portland, ME will miss his quick wit, corny jokes and his embellished story telling. A special thanks to Jane Domenico, Ross McEacharn, Lorraine Scott, and Hilda Michaud for their love and friendship. Thank you also to the Sable Lodge staff, especially Angie and Kendra, for the last four happy years. Raoul was the best dad, pepere and great pepere. He always said he was lucky to have such an amazing family, but they were the ones who were lucky to have him for so long. His life will be celebrated by his friends at Sable Lodge at a later date.
