Ramona Rae Locke

Ramona Rae Locke, 33, of Sanford, died at her home on Saturday, February 14, 2009.Ramona was born in Biddeford on January 30, 1976 to James and Elizabeth (Green) Locke. She attended Sanford schools and was a 1996 graduate of Sanford High School.Ramona was a very happy and hard working person. She had worked as a manager for Domino's Pizza in both Sanford and Portland and had been most recently employed by Waban Projects Inc. working with people with special needs. Ramona was a leader who marched to the beat of her own drum. She was very outgoing and had a very strong personality. She enjoyed going deer hunting with her father and collecting lighthouses, dolphins, Calvin and Hobbs and Garfield memorabilia. She also liked listening to and singing along with music. Ramona liked animals and was especially fond of her black lab "Billy." She was very proud of her Godson Skyler and enjoyed spending time with him. Her happy demeanor could brighten the day of anybody that she came into contact with. She will be remembered as a very honest and dependable person who always put her family first and will be dearly missed. "Keep dancing Ramona." Surviving are her parents, Jim and Betty Locke of Springvale; a sister, Amber Caron and her husband Jason of Washington; her partner Robyn Russell of Sanford; a daughter, Samantha Russell of Sanford; her maternal grandmother, Beatrice Green of Springvale; her paternal grandfather, Merrill Locke of Hyde Park, VT; a special cousin, Missy Vigue of South Berwick; her Godson Skyler Son of Sanford and several aunts, uncles and cousins.Visiting hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 19th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family, please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
