Portland-Priscilla E. Ferrelli, 84, of Atlantic Street, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Maine Medical Center. She was born on March 6, 1932, on Chebeague Island in the family home, a daughter of Bernard and Doris (Doughty) Nida. Priscilla grew up on the island but attended Portland High School where she was a cadet. She met Robert W. Ferrelli while roller skating and the two married in Portland on March 17, 1954. They lived in a house on the Eastern Promenade and their children and grandchildren would spend time at their Chebeague Island Home. She worked many different jobs such as a crossing guard for the Portland Police Department and JJ Newberrys, as well as a Personal Care Professional at Seaside Nursing Home. At home, she would sit up at night and sew or knit clothes for her children. She had a strong love for elephants, reading, and tea. Her family meant the world to her. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Ferrelli; infant son, Robert W. Ferrelli Jr.; brother, E. Bernard Nida (Bounce). She is survived by four daughters, Debra Boothby and husband Mark of Scarborough, Doris Lee and husband Mike of PA, Bobbi Ferrelli of Gorham, Priscilla Martell of Portland; son, David Ferrelli and wife Elizabeth of Cumberland; brother, Carlton Nida (Carts) and wife Joyce of New Gloucester; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 20, at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Burial will follow at Chebeague Cemetery on Chebeague Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Priscillas memory to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.

  7. ma I love you so much ,when I came home yesterday I went to open the back door and your blue jay was sitting on the railing by your chair and he spread his wings and flew so gracefully over to the tree I knew it was a sign that you are flying high holding my baby brother and with daddy yes ma you told us many times we had you for 84 years and it was time to share you I love and miss you so much there are no words to describe the love I have for you my mother my side kick I will miss all the adventures we went on.
