Phyllis A. Day

Phyllis A. Day, 87, of No. Shapleigh, died November 26 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.She was born in Machiasport on October 11, 1927, the daughter of Clarence and Alta (Richardson) Huntley. She moved from Machias at the age of 17, lived in Standish briefly then lived for many years in Portland and South Portland, moving to No. Shapleigh in 1972.Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Fred A. Day in 1988.Survivors include a sister, Thelma L. Caron of Lewiston, her companion of many years, Richard Moores of No. Shapleigh and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Cornish.
