Philip E. Lane, Jr., 59, of Lebanon, passed away at his home on March 22nd after a long illness.Phil was born in Gloucester, MA on July 28, 1947, a son of Philip E. and Etta (Morehouse) Lane, Sr.Phil was known for his honesty and integrity. He worked as a mechanic at the former Pease Air Force Base in Newington, NH. Phil also enjoyed spending time on the ocean, fishing for lobster and flounder.He was an army veteran of the Viet Nam War.An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish with his sons and very good friends. Another passion was to take pictures of his beloved grandchildren who referred to him as "the Grampster." He also loved to take road trips with his wife.Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lora (Moreland) Lane, 2 sons, Philip E. Lane, III, his wife Kathy and their children Dave, Nick and KC, Richard Lane, his wife Jenny and their boys RJ and Gavin, a brother Gary Lane, Sr. his wife Tina and their children Gary Jr. and Etta, 4 sisters, Janet Felder and her husband Herb, Phylis Jones and her husband Arthur, Mary Fay Lane and her husband Danny, Leeanne Lodge, an uncle, Harry Lane and his wife Esther, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. "Uncle Phil" will also be sadly missed but remembered fondly by his very dear friends Nick and Arlene Andela and their family. Last but not least, he will be missed by his pet parrot, Blue.A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday March 31 at 12:00 noon at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. Friends and family are welcome to join in a celebration of Phil's life at his home after the memorial service.Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Kidney Foundation of Maine, P.
