Pauline Fortier, 94, of Sanford, died June 4 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford. She was born in Biddeford on April 21, 1917, a daughter of Thomas and Claudia (Dubois) Lessard.Pauline was a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish and had been involved with Marriage Encounter.She loved to travel, especially on bus trips and in her spare time she liked to sew.She was predeceased by her husband, Roland D. Fortier in 1992, and by two brothers, Leo Paul Lessard and George Edward Lessard.Survivors include a daughter Denise Cote and her husband Roger of Sanford, son Rodney Fortier and his wife Arline of Springvale, son Wayne Fortier and his wife Patti-Ann of Springvale, sisters Yolande Laverriere and Rachel St. Ours, both of Biddeford, grandchildren Andrew Fortier and Ryan Fortier both of Springvale, Lisa Clarke, her husband Ed and their son Devon of Acton, Kevin Cote, his wife Kerry and daughters Austyn and Atley of Bloomington, IL, Keith Cote of No. Berwick, Emily Fortier of Connecticut and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 AM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Avenue, Sanford. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
