Pauline M. Brochu
Pauline M. Brochu, 95, of Reno, NV, died in Reno on February 8 after a short illness.She was born in Biddeford on October 7, 1914, a daughter of Philip and Marie Louise (Dupras) Dumont, and attended Biddeford schools.In 1933, she married Albert J. Brochu and they moved to Sanford. She worked in the former Allied Shoe and Sanford Shoe shops. Albert died in 1964.In 1980 she moved to San Jose, CA and later moved to Reno. While a resident of San Jose, she was involved for many years with an adoptive Grandma program which served abused and neglected children.In Nevada, she enjoyed Bingo and her "Seniors" trips to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed coming back to Sanford to visit relatives and friends. She was able to maintain her own home up until last September when she moved to an assisted living facility.She was predeceased by a son, Harvey Brochu, by 2 brothers, by 2 sisters and by a grandson.Survivors include a son Rene Brochu and his wife Sylvia of Long Valley, NJ, son Maurice Brochu and his wife Jan of Reno, NV, daughter in law Rollande Brochu of Sanford, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish.
