SANFORD Pauline M. Boudreau 89 a long time resident of Sanford died Friday March 7, at the Newton Center following a long illness. She was born in Springvale January 20, 1919 a daughter of Joseph & Evelyn (Vachon) Mathieu. She was educated at the former Notre Dame school in Springvale. She was employed at the former Goodall Textile Mills for fifteen years until their closing in 1954. She later was employed at the former Universal Shoe Co. of Sanford for seventeen years retiring in 1972.She and her late husband Andrew had a home on Mousam Lake in Acton for 20 years and later moved to Sanford, where she was a communicant of St.Ignatius Church.Pauline was pre-deceased by her husband Andrew who died in 1979, three brothers, Omer, Valmont, and Andre Mathieu. Two grandsons, Brian Boudreau and Gary Devoe.Survivors are her two sons, Raymond Boudreau and his wife Sylvia of Alfred, Ronald Boudreau of Sun City Center, FL. Three sisters, Lorraine Tourigny of Sanford, Therese Emard and her husband Roger and Gertrude Allaire and her husband Paul all of Springvale. Two brothers, Maurice Mathieu of Lady Lake, FL, and Ronald Mathieu and his wife Jo of Sun City Center, FL Four Granchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.Visiting hours will be Wednesday March 12 from 9 :00 to 10 :30 AM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 :00 AM at St. Therse Parish Notre Dame Church, Springvale.
