Paula Pierce

Paula Pierce, 67, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Friday August 16, 2019. She was born in Boston, MA on July 15, 1952 to Paul and Sarah (King) LaPrise, one of 3 daughters. The family later built a home in Hollis, Me where Paula graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 1970. Later that year she married her love Edward Pierce on December 12, 1970 and together they had 2 daughters.Over the years Paula worked at many of the local convenience stores with the last one being J and S Grocery and Deli before she retired. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her family and being "Mema" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1999, her youngest daughter Jodi in 2017, both of her parents and her sister Jeannette. She leaves behind her oldest daughter Sari (son in law Wilbur Haskell); grandchildren Willy, Melysa, Nicholas and Lucas Haskell, Taylor Tierney, Christopher "CJ" Grondin, Joshua and Jayson Westgate; great grandchildren Lily Haskell and Emma Dayton; stepchildren Debbie and Eddie Pierce; stepmother Mary LaPrise; sister Valerie (Larry Clark); stepsisters Nancy and Sandra Lounsbury; good friend and roommate Pete Robinson; grandsons Lee, Morgan, Tyler; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews along with many friends.A celebration of Paula's life will be held on Sunday September 8, 2019 from 12-5 at the American Legion Hall on Route 202 in Alfred, Me.
