Paul Joseph Pelletier, 62, of Springvale, died at his home on Friday, May 10, 2013 due to illness.Paul was born in Sanford on October 1, 1950 to Paul M. and Glenys (Weaver) Pelletier where he grew up and attended local schools. He graduated from Sanford High School in 1969 and continued his education at the Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute. On January 26, 1973 he married Patricia Tuttle and together they would share 40 years of Marriage and raise two beautiful children.Paul was employed for 36 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He started out as a pipe fitter and worked his way up to assistant engineer by the time he retired. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, spending time with his children and grandchildren, going to the beach and watching football and basketball. He was also actively involved in coaching local sports teams as well as a member of the local ministries. Paul enjoyed family get-togethers and loved to cook. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was often the center of attention at gatherings, telling jokes and trying to make people laugh. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father grandfather, son and brother and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Paul is predeceased by his father, Paul M. Pelletier and by a niece, Breanna GauvreauSurviving are his mother, Glenys (Weaver) Pelletier of Sanford; his loving wife, Patricia Pelletier of Springvale; his son, Jason Pelletier of Springvale; his daughter, Kelli (Pelletier) Bshara and her husband Jamie of Shapleigh; two grandchildren, Aiden Bshara and Brynn Bshara, both of Shapleigh; three siblings, Michael Pelletier and his wife Wendy of Amelia Island, Florida, Denise Gallant and her husband Larry of Lebanon and Kathleen Gauvreau and her husband Patrick of Shapleigh as well as several nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, May 14th at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.
