Patricia M. Petersen

Patricia M. Petersen, 53, of Acton passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2016 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born in Dorchester, MA on May 13, 1963, the daughter of Thomas M. and Noella (Aylward) Garrity and was raised in Quincy, MA where she was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1981. She worked as a dog groomer at Brian's Kennel for 17 years. Patty always enjoyed family times such as the many vacations, holidays, and celebrations they shared. Patty moved to her beautiful farmhouse in Maine in 2003. There she enjoyed all her life passions, taking care of her horses and animals, gardening, cooking and starting a vineyard. Together with her husband Mike they realized their dream of opening their own restaurant, Emily's Woodfired Pizza in Springvale. Patty will be remembered and sorely missed by so many lives that she touched as a caring, giving, loving person who lived life to the fullest.Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Michael S. Petersen and her daughter Emily Petersen, both of Acton, her mother Noella Garrity of Quincy, MA, sister Kathy Sweeney and her husband Richard of Scituate, MA, brother Jim Garrity of Quincy, MA sister Maura Garrity of San Francisco, CA.Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a funeral service being held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 8th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.
