  1. Your mother did so much for Friends of Feral Felines, making and donating many lovely crafts, hosting a yard sale at her home, etc. I’m sure she was a great inspiration for your work with FoFF, and for that we are all grateful.

    – Jill Cournoyer

  2. To the Higgins families, please accept my condolences in the loss of your loved one! I first met Patricia at my FIT to Live exercise class, and I must say she was a very welcomed as a new member by all of us who thought the world of her, with her huge smile every time she entered the room. She kept saying she couldn’t keep up with the program, but with lots of encouragement from the class she soon became a pro! Even some days she was not feeling well, she would show up with that great smile and willingness to give it a try! She was a real trooper and will be truly missed by all of us!

    – Betty Moberg

  3. “Always a Friendly Face” When I notified a high school classmate of mine of Patricia’s passing, his response was “She was always a friendly face in school.” This pretty well sums up her life: “Always a friendly face” no matter what was happening with her, no matter who she was speaking with, or the subject of the conversation. Even as she was losing her very pain filled battle with a very aggressive pancreatic cancer she had a friendly face for those visiting her. She was more than my sister; she was my friend. I am sure, all of you, as I do, will miss her friendly face.Dave Files

    – David Files

  4. I first met Patty when she was working at the Maine Mall at the AT&T store and I was working at Skillins Greenhouse kiosk, also at the mall. We continued to see each other over the following years here in South Pirtland. I was shocked to hear of her passing today at work. Sending my condolences to her family.

    – Mary Ann Cohen

  5. I am so sorry for your loss…..and for our loss. Patty was such a good friend, always cheerful even during all her medical problems over the years. This last assault on her health was more than she could bear. I was priveledged to see her in the hospital and Sea Side these last few weeks. She always had a welcoming smile even as she suffered. What a loss to us all.
