Orrin A. Alexander

Orrin A. Alexander, 59, of Sanford, died on Wednesday, January 4th at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Orrin was born in Sanford on August 16, 1952 to Orrin and Maxine (Cheney) Alexander where he grew up and attended local schools. He was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard until he had to retire due to declining health.Orrin was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed singing karaoke. He was a member of the AMVETS, the American Legion and the Wolves Club. Orrin was a quiet man and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was always available to lend a hand to a family member of a friend who needed help. He will be remembered as a kind and loving brother and uncle and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Orrin was predeceased by five siblings, Shirley Vachon, Jane McGrath, Geraldine Alexander, David Alexander and Kathy Alexander.Surviving are four siblings, Sherman Alexander and his wife Gerri of Sanford, Betty Wilkinson and her husband Joe of Rochester, Beverly Charette and her husband Jerry of Sanford and Paul Alexander and his wife Debbie of Springvale; his companion, Susan Eckman of Sanford and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7th at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Salvation Army, P.O.
