Oniel L. Levesque

Oniel L. Levesque, 76, of Sanford, died January 9 in Sanford after a long illness.He was born in New Brunswick, Canada on July 27, 1933, the son of Henry and Jane (Fournier) Levesque. He came to this country as a child and attended school in Ft. Kent.Niel was employed for many years with the Baker Company in Sanford, retiring several years ago due to illness.He liked to putter around the yard, always building something and tending to his vegetable garden.Survivors include his wife, Lois (Nichols) Levesque of Sanford, 3 children, John Levesque, Donna Carrey, and Mary Levesque, all of Connecticut, stepdaughter Diane Hartford of Sanford, 5 brothers, Romeo Levesque, Emile Levesque, both of Connecticut, Allyre Levesque, Joseph Levesque, both of Sanford, Claude Levesque of Canada, 2 sisters, Aline Mayo of Sanford, Patricia Labbe of Connecticut, a grandson and a great grandson.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 :00 AM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford, where relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 9 :30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the spring in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Condolences may be expressed at the Condolences tab at left.
